Head of Product

What you’ll do

• Take responsibility for the strategic direction, enhancement the performance of Adevinta Benelux portfolio of products and services

• People manager for Product and project managers within the company:

• Lead and develop product roadmaps and ways of working

• Provide hands-on leadership and direction to a team of product managers

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Tech and Marketing to ensure effective delivery and support of products and services 

• Work collaboratively with sales to ensure there is common understanding of business goals and objectives

• Provide strategic input into the company’s business plan 

• Keep awareness of latest developments within the internet industry

Who you are

• Education: Candidate will have a master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent in working experience.

• Experience: The candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in leading products in complex/matrix environments.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are a must for this position. The position is a supervisory position of other PMs and communication must be effective down the line in order to ensure the proper execution of the roles/functions in all junior positions. The Head of Product Management will also be required to regularly make presentations to the Management Team gatherings as well for local senior Management and other Stakeholders.

• Leadership/People Skills: As the Head of Product, a good candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills with an ability to move the team and peers and have them follow a common vision. Improving the cohesion and functionality of the Product Management department with other departments across Adevinta BNL and within the group is very important.

• Analytical Skills: The Head of Product should also demonstrate a high level of analytical and quantitative skills. The Head of Product should possess the ability to use information/data and various metrics to develop an informed and factual business case.

• Integrity and Vision: As the Head of Product Management, it is necessary to be visionary and future-oriented. A suitable candidate will also be a person of high integrity, consistent in their work, and who has clear and visible set values."
